HAGANE GEAR - The main gear is made from a single slab of metal alloy using SHIMANO HAGANE cold-forged technology, without additional processing. This provides smoothness, strength, lightness, and power at the heart of the reel.

MICROMODULE II - Micromodule II is SHIMANO’s unique technology that improves the shape and smoothness of the teeth and gears. A perfectly designed element geometry with an aim for ideal shape and smoothness achieves very low noise and smooth gear movement.

X-SHIP - A specially developed multi-component gear system that increases strength and power. Through the larger diameter and central placement of the main gear and drive gear, more power is transferred from the handle to the rotor. The drive gear is supported by two SHIMANO ARB rollers.

HAGANE BODY - The reel body is made from an aluminum-magnesium alloy using a cold-formed stamping technology. This delivers very high rigidity and impact resistance to the body, eliminating bending or deformation, which leads to more precise operation of the mechanisms and spool.

INFINITY LOOP - A super-slow oscillation system with improved line winding. This minimizes line friction during casting, improving casting distance.

MGL ROTOR - An innovation developed to optimize the reel’s lightness and performance.

ANTI TWIST - This technology ensures trouble-free line take-up by controlling line tension along the spool’s axis, preventing line wrap around the spool.

X-PROTEST - A specially designed labyrinth structure of several teeth with added lubrication between them, preventing water ingress between the rotor and the reel body. Simultaneously eliminates resistance during line winding between these two elements.

G FREE BODY - Shifts the reel’s center of gravity closer to the rod. This is achieved by moving the oscillating mechanism 19 millimeters closer to the rod tip. As a result, there is no reel vibration during rotation, and casting distance increases.

AR-C SPOOL - Patented SHIMANO spool design with a tapered edge – reduces casting friction, making it much more precise and accurate. Prevents braid wind from creating “brading” on the spool.

LONG STROKE SPOOL - The elongated shape of the spool and the sharper rib combination provide about 4% improved casting distance.

Ci4+ - Carbon materials used are lightweight and strong.

SA-RB - Lighter elements replaced with the same process as SA-RB, but additionally protected with shields on both sides. These shields reduce saltwater ingress or dust into the bearings and improve their performance.

ONE-PIECE HANDLE - The handle is built from a single piece, allowing the line to pass uninterrupted to the spool. It minimizes friction and gear backlash.
