HAGANE - A SHIMANO design concept created to withstand long-term use and extreme loads on the reel. HAGANE BODY - The reel housing is made from an aluminum-magnesium alloy through cold-stamping technology. This approach achieves very high rigidity and impact resistance of the body, eliminating the risk of bending or deformation that would affect the precise operation of the mechanisms and spool.

HAGANE GEAR - The main gear is forged from a single solid metal alloy using SHIMANO HAGANE cold-forging technology, with no additional processing. This provides smoothness, strength, lightness, and power at the heart of the reel.

X-SHIP - A specially designed multi-element gear system that increases power and strength. By using a larger diameter and central positioning of the main gear and drive gear, more power is transmitted from the handle to the rotor. The drive gear is supported by two ARB roller bearings for added stability. ANTI TWIST - This technology ensures trouble-free line winding. It controls the tension of the line as it passes over the roller. X-SHIELD - 12 seals have been added at critical points where water can enter. X-PROTECT - Special laboratory-constructed labyrinth structure of several teeth with added lubrication between them, preventing water ingress between the rotor and the reel body. At the same time, it eliminates resistance during winding between these two elements.

XX-TOUGH DRAG - Shimano technology using larger and stronger drag washers, delivering a more powerful, stable, and incredibly reliable drag designed for extreme loads and battles with trophy fish. G FREE BODY - Reduces the center distance of the reel’s weight closer to the handle. This is achieved through the removal of the oscillating mechanism by 19 millimeters closer to the rod. As a result, there is no feel of vibration when reeling and casting distance increases.

AR-C SPOOL - Patented SHIMANO spool design with an angled lip - reduces line friction when casting, making it more precise and accurate. It also prevents line twist when working with braided line. RIGID SUPPORT DRAG - Shimano technology where the drag washers are stably supported on both sides, preventing twisting and deformation and ensuring smoother, more precise, and consistent drag operation even under heavy load.

CROSS CARBON DRAG - Provides smooth drag release and high durability. SA-RB - Bearings have undergone the same process as A-RB but are additionally protected with shields on both sides. These shields reduce saltwater or sand ingress into the bearings and protect their operation.

ONE-PIECE VAIL - A large spool built from a single piece, allowing the line to pass through the bail smoothly. There is no twist or risk of line snagging.
